The project has seen a host of other world-famous faces give their jeans to artist Johny Dar, who has worked his own magic and turned each pair into a sartorial artwork which will be auctioned to raise funds.
"In this case it's not about fashion, it's art," Dar, who started the awareness-raising project after becoming so affected by the desperate images coming from refugee camps, told us. "It's an intuitive process, surfing whatever feelings were in the jeans from the celebrity who wore them, and doing my best to bring them out through the painting."
"I believe
they were convinced the same way that I was convinced myself, and
how everyone else became convinced too - this is a
humanitarian cause that is much grander than me and everyone
involved in it," he explained. "Everyone who is participating heard
the call and answered."
As of today, the first collection of jeans will be
exclusively available to bid and buy on from the online auction
house Catawiki, with new pairs dropping over the next 100 days. But
whose would Dar like to bid for the most?
"Emma
Watson's," he revealed. "I spent the most time on her
jeans!"
